Indigenous communities have long been underrepresented in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). IndigeSTEAM, a Calgary-based business founded in 2018, is dedicated to changing that narrative by offering impactful STEAM workshops and programs specifically designed for Indigenous youth.

One of the key programs offered by IndigeSTEAM is Partners in Community, which focuses on building partnerships with Indigenous communities to provide educational resources and workshops. By working closely with community leaders and educators, IndigeSTEAM is able to tailor their programs to meet the specific needs and challenges faced by Indigenous youth. Another program, Pathways for Choice, aims to empower Indigenous youth by providing them with the skills and resources needed to pursue careers in STEAM fields. Through hands-on workshops, mentorship opportunities, and career guidance, Pathways for Choice is helping to open doors for the next generation of Indigenous scientists, engineers, and artists. IndigeSTEAM's Power to Choose program is all about promoting diversity and inclusion in STEAM fields. By showcasing the achievements of Indigenous professionals in these fields and offering role models for aspiring youth, Power to Choose is breaking down barriers and inspiring future leaders. In addition to these programs, IndigeSTEAM offers a range of services to support education and outreach initiatives in Indigenous communities. From organizing school visits and community events to providing resources for teachers and parents, IndigeSTEAM is committed to making a difference in Indigenous education and empowerment. By expanding their outreach and reaching more clients, youth, communities, and teachers, IndigeSTEAM is helping to create a more diverse and inclusive STEAM landscape. Through their dedication to promoting Indigenous education and empowerment, IndigeSTEAM is making a lasting impact on the future of STEAM fields for Indigenous youth.
